← Back to AppThis page explains what data SureFlip collects, how we use it, and what we don't do with it. We've written it in plain English on purpose — no legalese.
What we collect
- Photos you upload— sent to Anthropic's API for processing so the AI can identify the item and write a listing. We never store your photos on our own servers; they're processed in real time and gone immediately after.
- Account information — your email address, via our authentication provider (Clerk), so you can sign in and we can track your usage and subscription.
- Generated listings — the title, description, price, and condition of listings you generate are stored in our database so you can view your recent listing history.
- Usage counts— how many listings you've generated this month, so we can apply free-tier and paid-tier limits correctly.
- Billing information — if you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details ourselves — we only keep a reference to your Stripe customer and subscription record.
- Anonymous usage data — we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the app (things like how many listings are generated, which buttons get clicked). This data is anonymous and not linked to you personally.
How we use it
- Photosare sent directly to Anthropic's API so the AI can identify the item and write a listing. That's it — they're never saved anywhere by us.
- Account and billing data are used only to run the product: signing you in, enforcing usage limits, and processing your subscription if you have one.
- Analytics datahelps us understand what's working and what to improve. We look at patterns, not individuals.
Third-party services we use
- Anthropic — processes your photos via their AI API to generate listing content. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Clerk — handles sign-in and account authentication.
- Stripe — handles subscription billing. We never see or store your card details.
- Vercel and Neon — host the app and its database. Standard hosting infrastructure.
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage tracking to help us improve the app.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your personal information with advertisers or third parties for their own use. We don't store your photos.
Your account and data
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal in the app. If you'd like your account and stored listing history deleted entirely, contact us at the address on our Contact page and we'll take care of it promptly.
A note on AI-generated content
Listings and prices generated by this tool are suggestions only. The AI can make mistakes — always review everything before posting to Facebook Marketplace. We're not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally as the app evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Nothing will change in a surprising or harmful way — we'll keep it straightforward.
